About the Role
The position is responsible for leading and directing a team of engineers and managing multiple projects to meet defined goals and objectives within the Power Electronics Center of Excellence (PE CoE). The leader monitors overall performance, reports results, and cultivates a performance-based culture that aligns with PE CoE strategies. In addition to leadership duties, the role oversees the creation of technical requirements, the preparation of reports and presentations, and the mentorship of team members in partnership with the PE CoE director to enhance the group’s technical capabilities. • Lead and direct engineering team and projects to achieve defined objectives. • Monitor and report team and project performance; foster a performance-based culture. • Design, model, simulate, and implement power electronics solutions for conversion and protection. • Develop technical requirements, reports, and presentations. • Mentor and coach team members alongside the PE CoE director to strengthen technical capability. • Stay current on power electronics technologies and apply knowledge to create new opportunities.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in engineering, with a master's or PhD in electrical engineering or a related field preferred, and bring at least ten years of industry experience in power electronics or motor control development, including control architecture, algorithms, and embedded firmware. Essential skills include proficiency with modeling, simulation, and analysis tools such as Matlab/Simulink, expertise in embedded C/C++ firmware architecture, and experience using auto-code generation tools like Simulink Coder. The individual should be self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable with up to 10 % travel domestically and internationally. • Minimum 10 years industry experience in power electronics or motor control development. • At least 3 years hands‑on experience with control and embedded firmware validation using HIL tools. • Minimum 3 years experience leading teams or projects. • Bachelor’s degree in engineering; master’s or PhD in electrical engineering preferred. • Proficient in Matlab/Simulink for modeling, simulation, and analysis. • Experienced in embedded firmware architecture and C/C++ programming. • Skilled with auto-code generation tools such as Simulink Coder. • Up to 10% domestic and international travel required.
