About the Role
The welder will join stainless steel and aluminum components using MIG and TIG processes, ensuring high‑precision assembly of mechanical structures. Quality control is a core responsibility, requiring inspection of raw materials and finished products to meet safety and company standards. The ideal candidate possesses a steady hand, strong attention to detail, and solid knowledge of metal properties. Key duties include interpreting blueprints and measurements, selecting the appropriate welding method, preparing parts with angle grinders, aligning and clamping components, and performing welds in vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions. Equipment maintenance and adherence to safety protocols are also essential. • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders. • Determine and set up the appropriate welding equipment and method. • Prepare welding surfaces with angle grinders and ensure proper alignment with tape measures and clamps. • Perform welding in various positions, including vertical, horizontal, and overhead. • Inspect raw materials and completed welds for compliance with safety and quality standards. • Maintain welding equipment to ensure safe operation. • Follow all safety precautions when handling potentially hazardous equipment. • Work in environments with seasonal temperature extremes, dust, and occasional chemical fume exposure.
