About the Role

The Ground Based Weapon System Integration Engineer will support the Missile Defense Agency’s GMD Ground System Development Project Office in Huntsville, AL, serving as a technical staff member on the GMN System Engineering Team. • Provide technical support to GFCC Product Leads for defining, analyzing, and coordinating GWS integration across fire control, communications, and launch equipment interfaces. • Act as primary technical liaison between GFCC product suite and legacy/next‑generation interceptor engineering and project management teams. • Incorporate next‑generation interceptor technical details into GFCC interface requirements, design documentation, and modeling/simulation efforts. • Coordinate technical interface details with other MDA stakeholders and support government reviews, tests, fielding, and operational readiness activities. • Develop and present technical reports, briefings, and support Engineering Review Boards, stakeholder coordination, and OCL approval processes.

What You Bring

• Travel up to 10% as required. • Hold an MA/MS degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, or a BA/BS with 20+ years, and maintain an active Secret clearance. • Demonstrate 12+ years of direct experience with missile defense system interfaces and integration, including digital engineering and DevSecOps environments. • Work independently while collaborating effectively, with strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. • Desired: Possess STEM degrees and additional related expertise.

Benefits

The position offers a salary range of $108,700‑$190,200 and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, paid time off, ESOP, 401(k), life insurance, flexible work schedules, and holidays.
