About the Role

The team’s work spans feasibility studies, technical planning support, detailed design for implementation, and construction‑phase assistance. It also supports AECOM design teams across the UK and Ireland on a diverse portfolio that includes highways, rail, water infrastructure, solar farms, and civil engineering design for structural projects in commercial, education, leisure, defence, and healthcare sectors. • Lead technical delivery and project management of civil engineering projects. • Prepare and review survey specifications for utilities and topographical data. • Coordinate production of studies, assessments, and conceptual designs for drainage, highways, utilities, earthworks, and flood risk. • Liaise with regulatory bodies and key stakeholders to secure approvals and ensure compliance. • Contribute to bids, proposals, and project meetings while communicating technical solutions.

What You Bring

This position offers a civil engineer with suitable experience an opportunity to advance their career by taking on greater technical delivery and project‑management responsibilities. The role involves leading project delivery while growing expertise in multidisciplinary infrastructure design. Candidates must hold a Civil Engineering degree (BEng or MEng) and have relevant consultancy experience delivering highways and drainage designs for residential, commercial, and broader infrastructure schemes. Proficiency in InfoDrainage, AutoCAD, and AutoCAD Civil 3D is required, with familiarity in ArcGIS considered a plus. Preferred qualifications include progress toward Incorporated or Chartered status with ICE or membership of CIWEM or CIHT. AECOM values transferable skills and encourages applicants who meet some of the criteria to apply. • Hold a BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering; progress toward ICE Chartered status preferred. • Demonstrated consultancy experience delivering highways and drainage designs for diverse infrastructure schemes. • Proficient with InfoDrainage, AutoCAD, and AutoCAD Civil 3D; ArcGIS knowledge is a plus.
