About the Role
As a Heavy Equipment Operator II you will operate bulldozers, scrapers, and front‑end loaders at one of WM’s recycling facilities serving over 20 million customers. The role requires compliance with safety policies, routine equipment inspections, and material handling using appropriate moving equipment. • Operate bulldozers, scrapers, and front‑end loaders following safety policies. • Conduct routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance; maintain records. • Move and position raw materials and finished components using material‑moving equipment. • Follow standard operating procedures for operating and maintaining vehicles. • Work independently, accountable to safety guidelines, and communicate effectively.

What You Bring
The work environment includes both shop and field settings, with exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes for most of the day. Physical demands involve motor coordination, occasional lifting of objects under 30 lb, and rare exposure to cuts, burns, or toxic chemicals. • Minimum 3 years experience operating heavy equipment. • Must be over 18 and legally authorized to work in the United States. • Ability to meet physical requirements, with or without accommodations. • Pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical examination. • Problem‑solve independently while supporting colleagues. • Physical demands: motor coordination, occasional handling of objects <30 lb, exposure to dirt, noise, weather extremes, rare cuts/burns.
