About the Role

As Director of Wireline Telecommunications you oversee a business unit that constructs telecommunications infrastructure, including buried and aerial cable placement, ensuring projects meet customer expectations and timelines. You lead operations staff, manage budgets, maintain communication with customers, control revenues and costs, make staffing decisions, prepare cost estimates, and perform other duties as required. • Develop positive business relationships to understand current and potential customer needs. • Lead and direct operations staff to safely execute projects. • Communicate regularly with customers. • Manage team to meet budgets, schedules, and ensure customer satisfaction. • Control revenues and costs with full P&L responsibility for the business unit. • Make staffing decisions, train new employees, and develop performance. • Prepare and present detailed construction cost estimates and documentation.

What You Bring

The role requires experience leading crews in underground fiber deployments and a strong knowledge of profit and loss management. The ideal candidate has a proven record of high‑quality work, strong problem‑solving skills, and a hands‑on approach. A bachelor’s degree in construction technology, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) and at least 10 years of relevant experience, including supervisory roles, are required. Experience managing budgets, overseeing projects to completion, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
