About the Role
You will lead the design and analysis of embankment and concrete dams, spillways, outlet works and other hydraulic structures, prepare engineering reports, technical specifications and design drawings, and ensure adherence to quality standards. Reviewing inspection reports and monitoring data, you will recommend mitigation strategies for existing dam infrastructure and participate in field investigations and inspections, including travel as required. In addition, you will provide senior‑level technical oversight, mentor junior engineers, support business development, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and manage dam‑related projects from planning through execution and financial tracking. • Lead design and analysis of embankment and concrete dams, spillways, outlet works, and related hydraulic structures. • Prepare engineering reports, technical specifications, and design drawings to meet quality standards. • Review inspection reports and monitoring data, recommending mitigation strategies for existing dam infrastructure. • Conduct field investigations and inspections, including travel as required. • Provide senior‑level technical oversight, mentor junior engineers, and review deliverables for accuracy. • Support business development through proposal preparation, cost estimation, and client engagement. • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and maintain strong client relationships throughout project delivery. • Manage dam‑related projects, overseeing planning, execution, financial tracking, and coordination. • Apply knowledge of hydraulic phenomena and perform CFD modelling using tools such as Flow3D. • Produce high‑quality technical deliverables and innovate practical engineering solutions.

What You Bring
The role requires a bachelor’s degree in civil or geotechnical engineering and Chartered Engineer status (or progression toward it). Candidates should have experience in dam design, refurbishment and delivery of complex civil projects, strong technical writing skills, and an understanding of hydraulic phenomena such as cavitation, air entrainment and transient flows. Proficiency in CFD modelling for spillways using tools like Flow3D and familiarity with preprocessing/post‑processing software (e.g., Rhino, Grasshopper) are also required. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in civil or geotechnical engineering; Chartered Engineer status or progressing toward it. • Demonstrate experience in dam design, refurbishment, and delivery of complex civil engineering projects.
