About the Role
Under the direction of the Sr. Director, Compliance Audit Services, the Manager oversees auditor training and coordinates audit procedures to ensure independent and objective environmental, health & safety, and transportation compliance reviews of company operations. • Supervise audit staff and communicate standard audit practices. • Conduct compliance audits with staff to assess program implementation and efficiency. • Review internal and external audit reports, corrective actions, and closure activities for accuracy and regulatory compliance. • Provide training, coaching, and performance evaluations for personnel. • Develop audit schedules and assign staff to environmental, safety, and DOT audit assignments. • Organize resources and continuously improve audit tools and training materials.

What You Bring
The role includes direct supervision of up to six full‑time employees and indirect supervision of additional staff, requiring strong managerial and coaching skills. The position demands up to 60% travel and combines office work with field assignments. Employees may perform occasional physical tasks, use fine motor coordination, and be exposed to typical field conditions such as dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes. Because the role may require air travel or access to federal property, candidates must possess a REAL ID or a TSA‑approved alternative, or be willing to obtain one. • Required education: Bachelor's degree in environmental studies, public health, engineering, biology, or a related science. • Minimum seven years of relevant experience; preferred Certified Professional Auditor credential. • Experience managing employees and conducting environmental or health‑and‑safety compliance audits. • Knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and DOT regulations. • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ability to learn new systems quickly. • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. • Travel up to 60% of the time; field work required in addition to office duties.
