The Tsui Group is seeking a qualified and experienced candidate in educational facility construction projects to serve as a Project Cost Estimator for a large educational client in Los Angeles County. The role includes preparing preliminary and final independent detailed cost estimates for JOC/Formal Construction contracts, supporting price negotiations, preparing claim analyses, and developing detailed construction cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and standard estimating tools. Additional responsibilities include reviewing contractor claims and proposals for merit and accountability and performing related duties as assigned. Candidates must have at least seven years of full‑time professional experience in construction cost estimating for facilities or school building projects, along with knowledge of current local labor and material costs. Experience should include developing and estimating scopes of work for change orders, comparing independent estimates to contractor proposals, and creating scopes based on RFI/RFC responses. Strong oral and written communication skills are also required. • Provide at least 7 years of full‑time construction cost estimating experience in facility or school projects. • Demonstrate knowledge of local labor and material costs and expertise in change‑order scope development. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.

A bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university, preferably in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, is required. The position offers a salary range of $151,000‑$156,000 and a comprehensive benefits package, including 100% coverage of medical, vision, and dental insurance, life and disability insurance, 10.5 days of accrued vacation, 6 days of sick pay, 13 holidays, a 3% employer 401(k) contribution after one year, a monthly cell‑phone stipend, and a work laptop. • Receive a salary of $151,000‑$156,000 with full medical, vision, dental coverage, life and disability insurance, vacation, sick leave, holidays, 401(k) match, cell‑phone stipend, and laptop.
