About the Role

Based in Westchester, NY, the Electrical Estimator role supports the pre‑construction phase by delivering accurate, competitive cost estimates for a wide variety of electrical projects. The estimator collaborates with bid teams, engineers and project managers to ensure proposals meet client requirements and drive the company’s growth. • Review and analyze project plans, specifications, drawings and schedules to understand scope. • Prepare detailed cost estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor services and other expenses. • Use estimating software such as McCormick and Bluebeam to ensure precision and consistency. • Factor market conditions, labor rates and material costs into estimates. • Work with bid team to develop compliant bid proposals and present pricing rationale. • Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes to secure competitive pricing. • Maintain strong vendor and subcontractor relationships for pricing and information. • Generate regular cost‑tracking reports and assess estimating accuracy. • Collaborate with engineering and project management to resolve ambiguities. • Share best practices to improve team estimating capabilities.

What You Bring

Candidates should bring at least five years of electrical estimating experience, preferably with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction management or a related discipline. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, industry‑standard estimating software and strong analytical, communication and teamwork skills are essential. • Minimum five years of electrical estimating experience. • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction management or related field (or equivalent experience). • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. • Strong knowledge of electrical construction practices, materials and methodologies. • Familiarity with estimating software (McCormack, Bluebeam). • Excellent analytical, mathematical and detail‑oriented skills. • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. • Knowledge of local construction market and regulations (preferred). • Practical experience with new construction and renovation projects.
