About the Role
The Project Manager will oversee permit acquisition, coordinate timelines, and act as the primary contact with state and federal regulatory agencies. They will also guide environmental impact assessments and ensure consultant deliverables align with project goals. • Complete environmental permitting for projects ranging from SEQR short forms to joint applications requiring multiple agency approvals. • Track and coordinate permit schedules to align with project milestones and provide administrative support throughout all phases. • Oversee upcoming projects that will need environmental review or regulatory compliance for permit processing. • Coordinate SEQRA environmental impact assessments and advance EIS, EA, and related studies. • Manage consultant deliverables covering endangered species, ecology, energy, air/noise, visual, and environmental justice aspects. • Participate in project meetings with staff, consultants, and regulatory agencies, preparing written communications and notices. • Serve as the design and construction representative on environmental matters with federal and state agencies such as USFWS, USACE, NYS Department of State, and OGS. • Assist in preparing environmental permit applications and other required approvals.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least four years of experience with NYS SEQR and Army Corps permitting, or an equivalent master’s degree, and hold a degree in environmental science, planning, architecture, engineering, or a related field. Strong communication, leadership, and multi‑project management skills are required, along with recent experience working within New York State regulations. • Minimum four years of NYS SEQR and Army Corps permitting experience (master’s degree can substitute two years). • Recent (within two years) work experience in New York State and familiarity with current NYS environmental regulations. • Degree from an accredited college in environmental science, planning, architecture, engineering, landscape architecture, or related discipline. • Proven ability to coordinate with designers and both NYS and federal regulatory agencies. • Demonstrated experience spending at least 50 % of time on preparing or reviewing NYS SEQR impact statements and providing consultation on environmental laws. • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities to manage multiple project portfolios.

Benefits
The compensation range is $95,000–$100,000 annually, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance.
