About the Role

The position holds responsibility for ongoing regulatory matters and stakeholder engagement, working with cross‑functional teams to develop and gather information for the portfolio files. Duties include managing, preparing, and reviewing reports, developing internal processes, overseeing periodic audits and education sessions, organizing groups to meet compliance obligations, and monitoring directives from the provincial regulator. The specialist is expected to become knowledgeable about their subject matter and translate complex technical information into understandable themes for internal and external audiences. They must also ensure personal and co‑worker safety by adhering to all Occupational Health and Safety rules and regulations. • Manage ongoing regulatory matters and stakeholder engagement. • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and gather information for portfolio files. • Prepare, review, and manage reports, internal processes, audits, and education sessions. • Ensure compliance with provincial regulator directives and occupational health and safety rules. • Distill complex technical subjects into clear themes for internal and external communication. • Lead and manage groups while applying general business principles. • Participate in community initiatives, mentoring, volunteer programs, and employee resource groups.

What You Bring

Successful candidates recognize themselves in the listed competencies: a bachelor’s degree—preferably in business, accounting, or engineering—minimum five years of experience in a business, audit, legal or regulatory environment, and strong attention to detail. Excellent communication, analytical, and advanced writing skills are required, along with a willingness to learn NS Power’s operations, build strong relationships, manage groups, and apply general business principles; experience in a regulated environment is ideal. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, engineering, or a related field. • Have at least 5 years of experience in business, audit, legal, or regulatory environments. • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and advanced writing skills.
