About the Role
As a Day Porter at Velociti Services, you will join the frontline team that delivers commercial cleaning at client sites, handling standard custodial and janitorial tasks such as mopping, dusting, vacuuming, wiping, and waste removal. Your daily responsibilities will include maintaining restrooms and breakrooms, performing floor care, and ensuring all waste is properly disposed of. The role emphasizes strict adherence to safety protocols, teamwork, and professional communication with supervisors, coworkers, and customers, while supporting shift leads during staff shortages and ensuring a clean work environment. You will also be expected to use proper personal protective equipment, present a professional appearance, and contribute to customer satisfaction and reporting systems. • Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures • Perform work assignments in a team with other employees • Maintain a clean work area • Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules • Take direction and respond to supervision • Communicate professionally with leads, supervisors, coworkers, managers, and customers • Fill in during staff shortages • Support shift lead in completing punch‑list items • Use proper personal protective equipment • Clean and stock restrooms and breakrooms • Build respectful relationships with teammates and guests • Take directions from Cleaning Lead, Supervisor, or Manager • Coordinate activities with internal departments • Participate in team meetings • Recognize safety as a top priority and comply with all safety rules, policies, and procedures • Lift, bend, squat, and stretch to move boxes, parcels, and shipments • Climb small to medium flights of stairs multiple times a day
