About the Role
This role oversees the activities of the GLA Inside Sales Team, providing expertise in selling WM services using inside‑sales tactics and strategies to generate additional revenue. The manager develops and implements sales and marketing programs that address current and future customer needs while guiding team members toward success. The manager maintains and reinforces the corporate sales strategy with the Inside Sales Team and ensures a high level of customer satisfaction on all transactions. They collaborate with the Market Area Sales Manager to resolve unique customer issues and supervise the team to meet or exceed sales call activity goals for new sales, lead generation, and contact productivity. Key duties include forecasting and recruiting qualified candidates, developing and delivering formal training and informal coaching, and updating reference material for Inside Sales Representatives. The manager also assists in communicating area pricing and service strategies, maintains accurate customer records, and works with the Area Sales Manager to create upsell and cross‑sell strategies via outbound calls. The position provides direct supervision of 12 full‑time employees, including Account Executives and a Program Manager. • Lead and manage the Great Lakes Area Inside Sales Team (12 employees) to achieve sales targets. • Reinforce corporate sales strategy and ensure high customer satisfaction on all transactions. • Drive new sales, lead generation, and contact productivity through activity goals. • Recruit, forecast, and train Inside Sales Representatives, providing formal and informal coaching. • Maintain accurate customer records and support upsell/cross‑sell initiatives via outbound calls. • Assist in communicating and maintaining area pricing and service strategies.

What You Bring
The Inside Sales Manager will manage the inside sales team for the Great Lakes Area (GLA) and will be based in Plymouth, MI, working in a hybrid model from home and the office. Candidates should be local to the Plymouth area and able to come into the office as needed. Prior management or supervisory experience is preferred. Qualifications require a bachelor’s degree (or a high school diploma/GED with four years of relevant experience), three years of business‑to‑business sales management experience, and at least three years of direct B2B sales experience. Candidates must also have proven success in a Level 4‑6 sales position. Physical requirements involve a hybrid work environment and standard office equipment use; reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
