About the Role

The OHE Foreman leads the crew to complete daily tasks related to the placement of overhead electrical cables, ensuring crew safety, tracking employee hours, and conducting daily and weekly safety briefings and inspections. This role oversees the line team, coordinates with other departments, and manages calls in project utility locations to meet customer needs efficiently and safely. • Obtain necessary materials and ensure all permits and licenses are secured. • Oversee project work, assuming full responsibility for quality and timeliness. • Enforce safety standards and conduct daily toolbox talks and weekly safety inspections. • Perform aerial tasks such as new cable installs, pole transfers, strand building, and cable hanging. • Place overhead electrical cables and connect wires to terminals or hardware. • Supervise crew activities related to digging, conduit placement, and cable installation. • Operate, haul, and assist with equipment to support crew tasks on job sites. • Train new hires and trainees in trade skills and safety practices.

What You Bring

The position operates in a field environment that requires extensive physical activity, including bending, squatting, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in extreme weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind. Employees must maintain clear vision at various distances, possess precise hand‑eye coordination, and be able to identify colors while performing tasks on utility poles or aerial lift trucks. • Minimum qualifications: high school diploma or equivalent, 6 years experience, 2 years supervisory experience, and a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). • Preferred qualifications: 8+ years experience, extensive supervisory and training background, and OSHA 20 certification.
