About the Role
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager II leads all engineering activities that support production at Regal Rexnord’s West Chester, PA facility. This leadership role directly influences key performance indicators for safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Success depends on strong technical ability, effective leadership, and rigorous application of the Regal Rexnord Business System (RBS). The manager directs the Manufacturing Engineering team to ensure efficient electric‑motor production, overseeing process design, optimization, and continuous‑improvement projects that meet quality standards and boost productivity. He/she collaborates with R&D, Quality Assurance and production to scale new motor designs, ensures safety, environmental and regulatory compliance, and drives cost‑reduction while preserving performance. Responsibilities also include equipment selection, capital approval, installation, factory acceptance testing, and maintenance of advanced manufacturing assets. The role monitors production metrics, applies structured problem‑solving, and leads corrective actions to improve yield, scrap, throughput and overall productivity. The position serves as the manufacturing liaison for change‑management activities, coordinating sourcing, quality and R&D teams to prioritize and execute changes. It supports supplier change requests by working with Quality Assurance and customers to develop validation plans, and provides technical mentorship to engineers and technicians. Continuous improvement is championed through daily management and Kaizen events using the RBS methodology. • Lead and manage Manufacturing Engineering team to ensure efficient electric‑motor production. • Oversee process design, optimization, and continuous‑improvement initiatives to meet quality standards and increase productivity. • Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with company goals and industry best practices. • Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and production to transition new motor designs into scalable manufacturing processes. • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. • Drive cost‑reduction initiatives while maintaining product performance and reliability. • Manage equipment selection, capital approval, installation, factory acceptance testing, and maintenance for advanced motor manufacturing. • Monitor production metrics, perform structured problem‑solving, and implement corrective actions to improve yield, scrap, throughput, and productivity. • Act as liaison for change‑management, coordinating sourcing, quality, and R&D teams to prioritize and execute changes. • Support supplier change requests by developing and executing validation plans with Quality Assurance and customers. • Provide technical guidance, professional development, and mentorship to engineers and technicians. • Utilize Regal Rexnord Business System methodology to lead daily management and Kaizen events for continuous improvement. • Apply lean manufacturing or similar continuous‑improvement methodologies. • Communicate effectively across functions and manage cross‑functional projects.

What You Bring
Key competencies include strong leadership and team‑management skills, expertise in precision manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, balancing, laser welding and testing, and knowledge of lean or similar continuous‑improvement methods. The manager must be results‑focused, detail‑oriented, proficient in CAD/CAM, GD&T, data analysis, and possess excellent communication, cross‑functional collaboration and project‑management abilities. Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, automation, robotics and advanced manufacturing technologies is required, as is flexibility to work second‑shift or weekends when needed. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s or advanced certifications preferred) and at least five years of manufacturing‑engineering experience, with three years in a leadership capacity, preferably in high‑precision motor or electromechanical component production. Experience with lean manufacturing, advanced quality‑control methods, and managing cross‑functional projects is essential; union knowledge is a plus. Candidates must meet federal export‑control restrictions to be eligible. • Demonstrate strong leadership, team‑management, and expertise in precision manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, balancing, laser welding, testing). • Proficient in CAD/CAM tools, GD&T, data analysis, and project management. • Familiar with quality systems such as ISO 9001 and AS9100 and advanced automation/robotics technologies. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s preferred) with 5+ years manufacturing‑engineering experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role. • Experience in high‑precision motor or electromechanical component manufacturing; lean and advanced quality‑control methods. • Ability to work second‑shift or weekends as required. • Eligible under U.S. Person export‑control criteria.
