About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, or Project Executive, the incumbent will manage and supervise all engineering and administrative policies, procedures, and functions at the project level. Responsibilities include coordinating with field operations to ensure information transfer, overseeing safety, ethics, and compliance, and maintaining communication among all project team members. Key duties involve developing a thorough understanding of contract documents, leading engineering staff, establishing procedures for information flow with design professionals and subcontractors, collaborating with preconstruction, estimating, and purchasing on the GMP or budget, and conducting construction document reviews for constructability and QA/QC. The role also includes preparing contract item lists, procurement schedules, managing financial status and reports, scheduling and documenting meetings, handling subcontract change orders, and overseeing project close‑out activities. • Develop comprehensive knowledge of contract documents, plans, specifications, and applicable codes. • Lead, supervise, and develop Turner engineering staff, including performance appraisals. • Ensure strict adherence to safety, ethics, and compliance requirements at all times. • Maintain procedures for information flow, approvals, meetings, reporting, and payment applications with design professionals, consultants, owners, and subcontractors. • Collaborate with Preconstruction, Estimating, and Purchasing to develop GMP or initial project budget. • Conduct construction document reviews for constructability and QA/QC, addressing concerns with designers. • Prepare detailed contract item lists and trade scope of work documents for bid packages and purchases. • Create and manage procurement schedules to ensure timely buy‑outs and compliance with the construction schedule. • Manage the financial status of the project, preparing accurate status and financial reports. • Schedule, conduct, and document job meetings, owner‑architect, and coordination meetings. • Oversee the subcontract change order process: review estimates, negotiate changes, obtain approvals, and prepare change orders. • Manage project close‑out activities, securing warranties, final payments, and records retention.

What You Bring

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination) with a minimum of eight years of related experience, knowledge of accounting, cost control, estimating, scheduling, purchasing, and engineering principles, strong computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office, and preferably experience with Turner’s project management software, BIM, and Lean methodologies. The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities. The position requires physical abilities such as climbing stairs and ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating in a construction environment with exposure to moving equipment, heights, fumes, weather, and noise.
