About the Role
The Assistant Community Manager, reporting to the Community Manager, oversees daily operations and financial functions of a housing community, manages delinquency and rent collection, and assumes full responsibility for personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administrative, and risk management duties in the manager’s absence. • Post and reconcile all resident payments and account receivables accurately and timely. • Monitor bad debt, issue late notices, contact residents/guarantors, and coordinate evictions. • Ensure property meets budgeted revenue, expenses, and Net Operating Income targets. • Conduct month‑end closing procedures, generate reports, and maintain organized resident records. • Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop onsite staff while enforcing company policies. • Lead leasing efforts, implement marketing plans, and manage resident complaints to drive occupancy. • Create and execute resident retention programs such as events and newsletters. • Oversee customer service, service request turnaround, and property appearance through regular inspections. • Manage vendor relationships, obtain bids, and control equipment and supply costs efficiently.

What You Bring
• Hold a high school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred) and two years of housing industry experience. • Demonstrate basic computer proficiency and knowledge of Fair Housing and OSHA regulations.
