About the Role

The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the repair and maintenance of both company‑owned and customer equipment, ensuring timely service, proper inventory management, and compliance with safety standards. This role coordinates work schedules, service calls, parts ordering, staff training, and vendor relations while maintaining detailed service records and handling warranty claims. • Leverage current skills while developing new ones • Manage repair and maintenance of company and customer equipment, including yard organization • Prepare work schedules and respond to service calls to ensure equipment availability • Order parts to maintain adequate supplies • Provide training and assistance to staff mechanics • Collaborate with equipment vendors to learn maintenance requirements for new inventory • Evaluate equipment after repairs, maintenance, or safety checks • Document equipment status before and after rental • Address customer complaints regarding equipment condition or operation • Promote safety awareness • Perform quality control checks • Update and maintain organized equipment service records • Create, update, close, and bill work orders • File warranty claims promptly • Commission new equipment • Manage parts ordering, returns, and inventory • Dispose of solid and hazardous waste such as batteries, oil, filters, antifreeze, and wash sludge • Generate reports on equipment due for service, fleet status, service records, work orders, warranty claims, inventory, financial trends, and department performance

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license and have extensive experience with self‑propelled platforms and lifts, as well as strong knowledge of work planning, scheduling, and supervisory duties.
