About the Role

The core function of the role is to ensure that engineering solutions for nuclear facilities are designed for construction, commissioning, operation, maintenance and decommissioning. This requires integrating multiple technical disciplines and collaborating with specialists to achieve optimal design decisions. You will be responsible for aligning designs with project and safety requirements across the entire lifecycle. Strong technical expertise combined with effective soft skills is essential. • Elicit, create, and maintain technical requirements with verification and validation activities. • Collaborate with specialist engineers to develop integrated engineering solutions. • Incorporate construction, commissioning, maintenance, and decommissioning considerations into designs. • Ensure engineering solutions satisfy project, technical and safety requirements. • Act as intelligent customer for supplier/partner activities, verifying compliance with design intent and standards. • Provide expertise to other engineering packages and support project management on schedules, risks, costs and resources. • Maintain adherence to regulatory and legal requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

The role demands multidisciplinary knowledge covering civil, mechanical, process and electrical engineering for nuclear or complex manufacturing facilities.
