Process Engineering Chief
Lead process engineering team for refinery, NGL, and petrochemical projects
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Supervise all process team members and mentor them to meet project objectives. • Communicate office and corporate policies through routine team meetings. • Foster open dialogue and behavior‑based safety, ensuring required health and safety training. • Review and approve team members’ timesheets. • Identify and allocate staff to support projects, balancing workloads and schedules. • Keep team billable by managing process work and meeting sold‑time goals. • Anticipate skill‑set or capacity gaps and develop recruitment or training plans with I&G leadership. • Coordinate hiring and successful integration of new employees. • Provide necessary resources such as hardware, software, work processes, and literature. • Implement disciplinary actions and resolve conflicts with HR support. • Conduct performance reviews and build confidence for greater responsibilities. • Ensure compliance with AECOM and department processes, standards, and procedures. • Capture lessons learned and recommend corrective actions for engineering processes. • Support detailed checking and ITR processes in line with QA procedures. • Assist in identifying potential change orders and reviewing work products per QA/QC requirements. • Contribute to annual business planning, focusing on staff growth and sold‑time targets. • Develop execution plans and detailed scopes of work for proposals. • Create budgets by accounting work tasks and associated man‑hours. • Use engineering analysis software such as Aspen/HYSYS, Arrow, Fathom, Promax, or Pipe‑flo. • Conduct HAZOP studies. • Plan and coordinate multi‑discipline engineering and design programs. • Implement work‑process standardization and continuous improvement. • Perform resource planning, including labor forecasting, hiring, and cost estimating. • Support business development through proposal scope development and client presentations. • Provide field construction support, startup, and commissioning expertise. • Apply expert knowledge of industry codes and standards. • Work in collaborative 3D model environments such as Plant 3D or Navisworks.

What You Bring
• Hold a BA/BS degree and at least 10 years of relevant engineering experience or equivalent. • Possess experience in industrial, refinery, or power facility engineering. • Have 5 + years of team supervision experience. • Hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license. • Bring 7 + years as technical lead on refinery or NGL projects. • Experience full EPC and Design/Build projects and international work‑share collaborations. • Work effectively in remote, multi‑disciplinary teams.
