About the Role
As a Utility Engineer at JLL, you will optimize building performance and energy efficiency across a varied portfolio of commercial properties. The role blends technical expertise with strategic thinking to analyze consumption patterns, develop cost‑saving initiatives, and ensure regulatory compliance while collaborating with facility teams, clients, and vendors. The day‑to‑day work involves inspecting and repairing interior and exterior building elements, maintaining automated doors, lighting, flooring, plumbing, and roof systems, and responding to minor construction and emergency needs. You will also monitor contractor performance, maintain energy‑efficient operation of equipment, and provide prompt, courteous service to facility requests. • Perform inspections and repairs on interior/exterior building areas, including walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing, lighting, and automated doors. • Conduct maintenance of plumbing, sewer systems, toilet facilities, air registers, and roof leak response. • Execute minor construction tasks such as patching, painting, and floor/ceiling tile replacement. • Ensure safety by following procedures, identifying hazards, and maintaining good housekeeping. • Maintain equipment in an energy‑efficient manner and minimize downtime through proactive repairs. • Respond promptly and courteously to facility requests, supporting client asset value. • Monitor and evaluate the quality of work performed by outside contractors. • Assist the building engineering team with equipment repairs, system upkeep, and GMP training compliance.

What You Bring
Candidates must join Local 39 Stationary Engineers Union, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, have at least two years of building‑engineering experience, and possess a valid state driver’s license. Preferred experience includes work in GMP environments and familiarity with CMMS systems. • Join Local 39 Stationary Engineers Union and hold a valid state driver’s license. • Possess at least 2 years of building‑engineering experience with strong mechanical, plumbing, and equipment maintenance skills. • Preferred: experience in GMP environments and proficiency with CMMS software. • Work with hazardous materials, wear respirators and hearing protection, and lift up to 50 lb; may require climbing ladders, working at heights, and navigating confined spaces. • Availability for alternative shifts, including graveyard, weekends, holidays, on‑call duty, and overtime as needed.

Benefits
