About the Role
• Support plumbing design execution for various healthcare projects under senior engineers. • Assist in project management tasks such as scheduling, coordination, and budgeting. • Prepare engineering calculations, system layouts, and equipment selections for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. • Assist in preparing cost proposals and project contracts, including add‑service agreements. • Participate in MEP systems reviews, engaging with code officials, contractors, architects, and clients to ensure compliance and quality. • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes and regulations. • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors. • Participate in quality control reviews of MEP system designs, calculations, and drawings. • Provide support to designers and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

What You Bring
Kimley-Horn is seeking a Plumbing Engineer with more than eight years of experience to join its Los Angeles, California office, focusing on plumbing design and engineering consulting for healthcare, data center, and industrial projects. • 8+ years of plumbing design and engineering experience for healthcare projects in an engineering consulting environment. • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems. • Proficiency with design software such as Revit BIM, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, and Easypower. • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with ability to collaborate on project teams. • PE license and/or Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) preferred; candidates pursuing licensure considered. • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams. • Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability. • Willingness to learn and grow in a project management capacity.
