About the Role
Building cleaning workers—including porters, janitors, maids, housekeeping cleaners, window washers, and rug shampooers—maintain commercial or institutional premises in a clean and orderly condition. Responsibilities cover cleaning offices, bathrooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas. Duties also include floor mopping, rug shampooing, wall and glass washing, rubbish removal, pressure washing, and removing gum and graffiti. Employees perform minor repairs, painting, carpentry, replenish bathroom supplies, and handle landscaping and snow removal. They sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors, lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim, as well as clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, draperies, and dust furniture and equipment. Additional tasks involve replacing light bulbs, transporting small equipment, and setting up tables and chairs for events. • Clean offices, bathrooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms • Mop floors (wet/dry), shampoo rugs, wash walls and glass, remove rubbish, pressure wash, eliminate gum and graffiti • Perform minor repairs, painting, carpentry, replenish bathroom supplies, handle landscaping and snow removal • Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors, lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, draperies; dust furniture and equipment • Replace light bulbs and transport small equipment or tools between departments • Set up tables and chairs in auditoriums, meeting rooms, or halls

What You Bring
The role requires a High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) and less than one year of prior experience in commercial or multi‑unit residential properties.
