About the Role

The Resident Project Representative role supports construction projects by interpreting drawings, maintaining daily records, reviewing material compliance, tracking quantities, and facilitating progress meetings. The position also conducts installation inspections, identifies non‑conforming work, prepares punchlists, documents for engineering review, and assists with audit and close‑out activities, while supervising junior staff and sub‑consultants. • Interpret drawings/specifications and identify conflicts. • Keep accurate daily logs of contractor activities, labor, equipment, and materials. • Review construction materials for contract compliance. • Track quantities and generate pay estimates. • Lead or attend progress meetings. • Observe installations and conduct acceptance testing. • Create and manage punchlists for non‑conforming work. • Prepare documentation for engineer review. • Assist with project audit and close‑out. • Supervise junior staff and sub‑consultants.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction technology, or equivalent experience, and possess demonstrated multidisciplinary construction experience with a solid understanding of contracts, codes, and specifications. Strong teamwork, computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Primavera or similar), and excellent communication skills are required, along with a commitment to HDR’s employee‑owned culture; sponsorship for U.S. employment is not available. • Hold EIT or PE certification. • Prior consulting‑firm construction experience. • Ability to read schedules and propose solutions. • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience). • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Primavera or similar software. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Commitment to HDR’s employee‑owned culture (no visa sponsorship).
