About the Role
The Facility Manager – Critical Environments is the single point of contact responsible for facilities management of data‑center sites. Reporting to the Regional Program Manager, the role leads a team of facilities supervisors and operating engineers, coordinates service delivery, and ensures stakeholder satisfaction across assigned facilities. Success requires transparent communication, safety focus, and the ability to manage both staff and external vendors. • Maintain continuous operation of all data‑center systems (HVAC, electrical, fire/life safety, cabling, lighting, access, CCTV, AV). • Supervise and develop the critical environments team, including hiring, training and career planning. • Create and execute preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance plans. • Identify and remediate safety hazards; manage safety training and regulatory compliance. • Develop CAPEX and OPEX budgets for upgrades, repairs, spare parts and equipment replacements. • Provide technical support for facility projects, construction, commissioning and acceptance. • Maintain up‑to‑date infrastructure documentation, drawings and schematics. • Oversee contractor activities, ensure they follow data‑center work rules and incident response procedures. • Track and report key performance indicators for team performance. • Manage overall facility services, policies, coordination and compliance. • Directly supervise chief engineers, facility coordinator and scheduler/planner. • Conduct recruiting, hiring, training, performance appraisal, rewarding and disciplining. • Develop succession and growth plans with measurable career development for each direct report. • Work varied schedules, holidays and respond to site emergencies.

Whether you have deep experience in commercial real‑estate, skilled trades or technology, we invite you to join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward. • High school diploma or GED; hands‑on experience in data‑center/critical facility operations (UPS, generators, switchgear). • 7–10 years of engineering experience (JLL or equivalent) and 5–7 years of supervisory experience. • Knowledge of manual trades such as carpentry and electromechanical repair. • Ability to read, interpret and write technical documents, safety rules and reports; strong verbal communication. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) and ability to use drawings and measurement tools. • Experience with Corrigo, MCIM/Salesforce, Zendesk or ServiceNow platforms. • Ability to walk, climb, bend, kneel, lift at least 50 lb and use ladders up to 30 ft (300‑lb weight limit).

The position is based on‑site in Council Bluffs, IA, with a salary range of $97k–$146k USD per year.
