About the Role

The Warehouse Supervisor leads hourly warehouse personnel and manages material flow in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role establishes operational KPIs, oversees materials from receiving through shipping, and ensures high inventory accuracy, strong safety performance, and reliable support to production teams. Key responsibilities include supervising, coaching, and developing the hourly workforce, providing performance feedback, handling conflict resolution, and fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence. The supervisor maintains a strong floor presence, sets clear expectations for safety, quality, and productivity, and monitors staffing levels, timekeeping, attendance, and shift coverage. Operational duties span receiving, inspection handoff, put‑away, storage, picking, kitting, line‑side delivery, and shipping while enforcing FIFO, shelf‑life controls, and material segregation. The supervisor drives continuous improvement, waste reduction, and Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives, and ensures accurate transactions in ERP/WMS systems with timely KPI reporting. The Warehouse & Materials team ensures every part, kit, and shipment is precisely where it needs to be, enabling uninterrupted production and supporting Base’s mission to build reliable energy systems at scale. The team solves high‑impact challenges like preventing line stoppages, protecting inventory integrity, and designing material flow for rapid growth. • Supervise and develop hourly warehouse staff, providing feedback and performance improvement plans. • Maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards with a strong floor presence. • Oversee receiving, inspection, put‑away, picking, kitting, line‑side delivery, and shipping operations. • Enforce FIFO, shelf‑life controls, and material segregation to ensure inventory accuracy. • Conduct cycle counts, audits, and continuous inventory reconciliation. • Identify and lead process improvements to increase throughput and reduce waste. • Support Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives across the warehouse. • Track and report KPIs such as inventory accuracy, on‑time delivery, productivity, safety, and quality. • Collaborate cross‑functionally with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, engineering, and logistics teams.

What You Bring

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience in warehouse, materials, manufacturing, or supply chain operations, plus at least one year supervising hourly teams. They need strong inventory control knowledge, proficiency with ERP/WMS platforms such as Odoo, SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite, and the ability to operate material‑handling equipment and lift up to 75 lb, with flexibility for extended hours or shift work. • Require bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of relevant experience and at least 1 year supervising hourly teams. • Proficient with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). • Able to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, and lift up to 75 lb. • Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, or alternate shifts as needed.
