About the Role
The Program Director acts as the company representative with the client and selected subcontractors during program execution, negotiates scope changes, and collaborates with Business Development to market and secure additional work. They are responsible for following up on project instructions, participating in negotiations with regulatory agencies, and overseeing the establishment of Project Execution, Health and Safety, and Quality Assurance plans. The role establishes program requirements, monitors deliverables for compliance, and creates concise project descriptions for the team. It plans, directs, supervises, and controls all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions, assigning responsibilities based on team members' strengths and providing input for performance reviews. Field responsibilities may include labor relations, local procurement, and payroll operations, and the director mobilizes resources across support departments to form effective project teams. The Program Director works with managers, engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans, ensuring project goals are met or exceeded. They address potential cost overruns or scope changes by devising action plans, advising clients and company management, and maintaining timely change orders. What You Bring
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Program Director to join our team! In this role you will provide direction and management for every phase of large projects or programs to assure on‑schedule completion within or below budget and in accordance with contractual obligations. The Program Director must be capable of managing a project or program valued up to $500 million in total installed cost, or a smaller project that requires an unusual technical or managerial approach. Prior experience must include significant project management or construction management assignments at the Principal Project Manager level, as well as operations management of personnel and facilities. Relocation to the job site may be required. A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical/business field and typically 20+ years of experience are required. Professional registration and Parsons’ project management certification may be required.
