Job Highlights
About the Role
The associate works at multiple stations—including ovens, kitting areas, paper cutter/slitter, set‑up, hot‑press/squeeze‑and‑bake, thermal‑fold, assembly weld booth, and material‑handling zones—to verify part numbers, sizes, conditions, and quantities of issued materials. They match coils and cores, gather small parts, retrieve leads, and prepare, collect, and distribute materials required for coil winding. They also assemble kits for coil orders and stock bins with coil materials. Following process release orders, the employee welds low‑voltage leads, cuts copper leads and ground straps, compresses coils using hydraulic jacks or presses, and loads or unloads coils onto conveyors, pallets, or racks for baking. They inspect units for errors, scan and load them into bake ovens, and return unused materials to their proper locations while maintaining inventory accuracy. The role includes operating machines for sizing, cutting, and drilling winding‑process materials, as well as using forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes to transport components and finished products. The associate enforces lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols in accordance with OSHA regulations to ensure safe equipment de‑activation during maintenance. Physical requirements include lifting up to 40 lb and performing activities such as bending, twisting, reaching, and walking while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. The company is an equal‑opportunity employer and offers benefits that may vary based on location, hire date, and collective bargaining agreements. • Operate workstations such as ovens, kitting stations, paper cutter/slitter, hot‑press, thermal‑fold, and weld booths. • Verify size, part number, condition, and quantity of issued materials. • Match coils and cores, gather small parts, and retrieve leads for coil winding. • Assemble and stock kits and bins for coil orders. • Weld low‑voltage leads, cut copper leads and ground straps per process releases. • Compress coils using hydraulic jacks or presses and load/unload them onto conveyors, pallets, or racks. • Inspect units for errors, scan, and load them into bake ovens. • Return unused materials to designated locations and maintain accurate inventory markings. • Operate machines for sizing, cutting, and drilling winding‑process materials. • Use forklift, pallet jack, and overhead crane to transport materials and finished products. • Enforce lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure safe equipment de‑activation.
