About the Role
Mortenson is seeking a Senior Manager of Core Finance Operations to lead the finance project portfolio, including payroll, AP, AR, T&E, and labor costing. The role will design, implement, and sustain scalable processes, controls, training, and KPI reporting to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and team experience. The incumbent will drive a three‑year operations strategy, partner with finance owners and cross‑functional teams to identify and resolve pain points, and champion continuous improvement through KPI development and data insights. They will also oversee comprehensive process documentation, change‑management initiatives, and enablement tools, while fostering collaboration across the organization. • Lead 3‑year Core Finance Operations strategy and provide quarterly updates to leadership. • Partner with finance owners and cross‑functional teams to identify gaps and implement efficient, automated solutions. • Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, maps, RACI matrices, and training materials. • Champion continuous improvement through KPI development, monitoring, and data‑driven insights. • Lead change‑management initiatives, including communications and training, collaborating with L&D. • Build strong relationships across teams and organizational levels to ensure project alignment. • Coach and mentor project contributors, fostering accountability, inclusion, and engagement.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field and have 7–10+ years of finance operations experience, including at least five years leading complex, cross‑functional projects. Preferred credentials include PMP, Lean Six Sigma, and experience with Oracle, UKG, and Concur. • Hold a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. • Possess 7–10+ years of finance operations experience, with at least 5 years leading complex projects. • Professional certifications such as PMP or Lean Six Sigma are preferred. • Demonstrated expertise with finance systems like Oracle, UKG, and Concur. • Strong project‑management skills, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and coordination. • Proficiency in Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and ability to create process maps and training content. • Advanced analytical ability to interpret data, monitor KPIs, and drive actionable improvements. • Exceptional communication and change‑management capabilities to influence adoption across teams.

Benefits
The position offers a base salary ranging from $129,000 to $193,600, with higher ranges for certain locations, and eligibility for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
