About the Role
Join Hitachi Energy as an Area Sales Manager to drive growth in your assigned region. You will support the sales organization and customers throughout the entire sales process, ensuring exceptional experiences and impactful results. The role involves influencing customer specifications, promoting innovative solutions, and shaping the future energy landscape while maintaining compliance with regulations. You will work closely with FES, REPS, and account teams to develop sales plans, analyze customer needs and competitor offerings, and prepare technically and financially accurate proposals. Monthly reporting of sales activities and recovery planning are also part of the duties. • Support the sales organization to increase new and existing business. • Promote Hitachi Energy products through webinars, seminars, and presentations. • Influence customer specifications and provide expert product knowledge. • Collaborate on sales plans with FES, REPS, and account teams. • Analyze customer needs and competitor offerings to identify opportunities. • Prepare offers with technical and financial accuracy in coordination with bid teams. • Communicate value propositions and competitive insights to stakeholders. • Report monthly sales activities and propose recovery plans when needed. • Manage bids, proposals, and administrative sales processes effectively.

What You Bring
A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field and at least five years of sales or business development experience are required. Candidates should have strong market analysis and competitor benchmarking abilities, excellent communication and presentation skills, and be adept at managing bids, proposals, and administrative sales processes. Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office is essential. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. • Possess 5+ years of experience in sales or business development. • Demonstrate strong market analysis and competitor benchmarking skills. • Exhibit excellent communication and presentation abilities. • Proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office applications.
