About the Role

As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician you will support the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will also install, maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. The role offers opportunities to develop your skills and mentor junior technicians. Your day‑to‑day duties include promoting a safe working environment by following all safety procedures, completing preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems on material handling equipment such as belts, motors, photo‑eyes and relays. You will maintain positive relationships across the Operations facility, track and store department inventory, and may travel up to 20 % of the time. Shifts can last up to 12 hours and may require weekend, night or holiday work. Physical effort includes moving up to 49 lb and standing or walking for the duration of the shift. • Perform preventative maintenance on material handling equipment and document procedures. • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues such as belts, motors, sensors and relays. • Install, maintain, and service automated packaging and distribution equipment. • Mentor junior technicians and support their development. • Follow all safety protocols and promote a safe working environment. • Track inventory and manage parts using a CMMS. • Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.

What You Bring

Required qualifications are a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to work flexible schedules, and at least two years of experience repairing material handling equipment and conducting predictive and preventative maintenance. Preferred qualifications include an associate or higher degree in mechanical or electrical fields, experience with automated conveyor systems and controls, and the ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics. Familiarity with OEM safety standards, a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), and robotic or electromechanical operations is also valued. Knowledge of basic input and output functions is required. The position involves repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing and walking, as well as lifting parts and tools averaging 20 lb and occasionally up to 49 lb. You must have dexterity in eye‑hand coordination, foot pedals and wrist motion. Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes, hot or cold temperatures, noise, vibration, concrete floors, wet or uneven surfaces, heights, and maneuvering bulky equipment. The role may require pushing or pulling wheeled equipment up to 100 lb and working in cramped positions under machinery.
