About the Role

The DC Controller role in Fort Mill, SC, is part of the Tools & Outdoor Global Supply Chain team and operates as an onsite employee. This position is accountable for maintaining balance‑sheet integrity, ensuring Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance, and fostering a strong control environment within the plant. As a business partner to the Site Leader, the Controller frames financial and operational issues in comprehensive business cases, influences strategic direction, negotiates with key vendors, and leads presentations to DC employees and management. The role also assumes responsibility for plant accounting operations and overall financial and operational management. The Controller delivers operational financial reporting, prepares actual, forecast, and budget scenarios, and analyzes plant performance to evaluate variances and their impact on results. They provide strategic tools and reports to drive business outcomes and act as project manager on cross‑functional cost‑reduction initiatives. • Manage complete month‑end close process • Ensure full Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance and improve control environment • Identify and mitigate business risks • Develop business cases to influence site strategic direction • Negotiate with key vendors directly or via procurement • Lead presentations to DC employees and management • Oversee plant accounting, financial, and operations management • Prepare and manage actual, forecast, and budget scenarios • Analyze plant performance, evaluate variances, and assess impacts • Provide strategic reporting tools to drive business results • Serve as project manager on cross‑functional cost‑reduction initiatives

What You Bring

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Accounting or Finance, possess strong analytical skills, and have at least five years of experience in finance, accounting, or auditing, with inventory experience considered a plus. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and enterprise systems such as SAP, Hyperion HFM, or Ariba is required, along with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. • BS in Accounting or Finance; CPA, CMA, or MBA a plus • Minimum 5 years finance/accounting/auditing experience; inventory experience a plus • Strong analytical ability to manipulate large data sets • Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Hyperion HFM, SAP or equivalents; Ariba preferred
