About the Role

Key duties include integrating Lean and pull‑planning practices into schedules, supporting bid and proposal development, and managing change‑management delays and claims. The manager also champions diversity and inclusion throughout the organization. • Procure and supervise scheduling consultants to satisfy project requirements. • Review schedules for adherence to best‑practice standards and provide feedback. • Align CPM master schedule with pull‑planning outcomes and facilitate pull‑planning sessions as needed. • Lead detailed critical‑path analysis and root‑cause investigations for problematic projects. • Manage change‑management delays and claims, both compensable and non‑compensable. • Promote and implement JE Dunn’s diversity, inclusion and non‑discrimination policies. • Deliver internal scheduling training classes and provide performance‑management feedback. • Utilize advanced scheduling software and MS Office to develop and maintain project schedules. • Ensure reimbursability targets are met and that direct reports maintain compliance. • Travel periodically and work non‑traditional hours to meet business needs.

The Planning & Scheduling Manager leads complex scheduling for projects of all sizes, providing direction on construction sequencing, training delivery, and critical‑path oversight. The position operates with significant autonomy and offers a career progression to Senior Planning & Scheduling Manager. Ideal candidates possess advanced knowledge of scheduling concepts, construction sequencing, Lean philosophy and scheduling software, combined with strong communication skills and the ability to read plans and specifications. A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or a related field is preferred, alongside eight years of planning and scheduling experience and two years of people‑management experience. The role requires a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift 25 lb, occasional travel and flexibility to work non‑traditional hours; JE Dunn provides a diverse, inclusive workplace with reasonable accommodations. • Maintain a valid unrestricted driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 25 lb.
