About the Role

The Manager, Equipment Rental leads the Equipment Rental Specialists, making strategic and tactical decisions that drive company growth. This role provides leadership, direction, and support to ensure top-level customer service, contract accuracy, and overall customer satisfaction. The manager also collaborates with sales, dispatch, and service teams to facilitate rentals and resolve equipment issues. • Leverage current skills while developing new skills • Lead Equipment Rental Specialists to ensure customer service, contract accuracy, and satisfaction • Motivate and develop the team to maximize performance and productivity • Participate in planning and developing sales goals and metrics • Meet or exceed daily sales and customer service objectives • Attend weekly Profit Center meetings and improve service quality results • Coordinate deliveries with dispatchers and resolve equipment issues with Service Manager • Collaborate daily with Sales Manager and OSRs across districts to facilitate rentals • Train and develop new Equipment Rental Specialists • Handle customer service issues and complaints directly • Assist AR with collections efforts (issue credits, obtain job info)

What You Bring

Candidates should have 5–8 years of customer-service or equipment-rental experience and a solid understanding of the construction market and product line. Strong business acumen, interpersonal, and communication skills are required, along with proficiency in MS Office and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Physical ability to bend, squat, and lift equipment (up to 25–50 lb) is also necessary. • 5–8 years of customer service, equipment rental, or related experience • Strong knowledge of construction market, job phases, and product line • Understanding of business management principles and company systems • Ability to monitor costs, maintain accurate records, and meet short deadlines • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills • Excellent written and verbal communication with presentation ability • Business and technical acumen, analytical and project management skills • Proficient with MS Office, spreadsheets, and database applications • Physical ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift up to 50 lb
