About the Role
The Sheet Metal Helper will support journeyman‑level construction, installation, alteration, and repair of sheet‑metal products and equipment, following blueprints, drawings, and work orders, while offering technical guidance to lower‑level staff. • Assist journeymen with installation, alteration, and repair of sheet‑metal HVAC units per blueprints and work orders. • Provide technical guidance and direction to lower‑level employees. • Troubleshoot service issues with systematic, timely solutions. • Demonstrate safe tool use and deliver professional customer service.

What You Bring
Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and 18–24 months of related experience or training. Experience must focus on assembling hoods and sheet‑metal air‑conditioning and heating units. Key abilities include reading and interpreting blueprints accurately, systematic troubleshooting of service issues, safe use of tools, delivering professional customer service, and communicating effectively both individually and within a team. The role also requires professionalism when handling disruptions and the capacity to work independently in commercial and construction environments. • Minimum 18–24 months related experience; high school diploma or GED preferred. • Experience assembling hoods and sheet‑metal heating/cooling units; ability to read blueprints. • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team in commercial and construction settings.
