About the Role

The Operator – Heavy Equipment is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment at a recycling center, landfill, or transfer station to transfer, spread, cover, load, and compact waste or soil efficiently. Operators must perform pre‑ and post‑operation inspections of equipment, ensuring windows, lights, mirrors, and rear‑view cameras are clean, and continuously monitor waste for unacceptable materials. They must keep equipment in ready condition by cleaning tracks or wheels, performing minor service, and reporting more complex issues to the Maintenance Shop, while adhering to all safety policies. Documentation duties include completing Equipment Condition Reports, other required reports, and maintaining a clean, serviced shop at shift end, as well as any additional assigned tasks.

What You Bring

Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of heavy‑equipment operation experience, one year on OSHA‑regulated sites, strong customer service, time‑management, and adherence to company policies.
