About the Role

As a PLM Integrations Architect you will work closely with IT, third‑party vendors and Outdoor product development teams to ensure seamless integration of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems with critical enterprise applications, including CAD tools (NX, CATIA), ERP systems (InforXA, SAP), supplier portals, online PDF repositories and demand‑planning tools. You will provide technical leadership and strategic direction to guarantee that integrations support engineering objectives and enable adoption of future‑focused technologies. You will partner with the PLM Operations team, engineering leaders and external software providers, overseeing the integrations required to support Outdoor product development. Your role includes translating engineering requirements into actionable integration plans and coordinating with cross‑functional organizations to design data models and exchange protocols aligned with Master Data Management and a single source of truth strategy. Core responsibilities include providing technical guidance to IT teams, overseeing the development of APIs and interfaces, assessing existing integration architectures for inefficiencies, and implementing enhancements that improve reliability, data flow and user experience for engineering teams. You will also research emerging technologies such as AI, IoT and cloud‑based PLM to develop strategic roadmaps that align with long‑term engineering innovation goals. Additional duties involve creating high‑level integration specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards, data security and regulatory requirements, reviewing and validating IT‑developed integrations, and monitoring performance to recommend proactive improvements. Strong communication skills are essential as you act as the primary liaison between engineering, IT, supply chain and external stakeholders. • Lead design and execution of PLM integrations with CAD, ERP, supplier portals, PDF repositories, and demand planning tools. • Provide technical guidance to IT teams for robust integration solutions aligned with engineering workflows. • Oversee development and usage of APIs and interfaces to enable data interoperability and automation. • Design data models and exchange protocols supporting Master Data Management and a single source of truth. • Assess and optimize existing integration architectures to improve performance and reliability. • Research and incorporate emerging technologies (AI, IoT, cloud PLM) to support Industry 4.0 initiatives. • Create high‑level integration specifications, workflows, and documentation for IT implementation. • Ensure integrations comply with industry standards, data security, and regulatory requirements. • Act as primary liaison between engineering and IT, translating requirements into actionable plans. • Monitor integration performance and recommend proactive improvements.
