About the Role
The role is for a Consultant in the Real Estate Consulting (REC) team, working with health and social care clients nationwide to assess the feasibility of real estate investment opportunities. The consultant will help build the case for change, develop business cases using the HM Treasury 5‑case model, and support clients in making optimal real estate decisions, drawing on experience in planning and developing healthcare estate and infrastructure projects. • Prepare business cases (SOC/OBC/FBC), estate/property strategies, target operating models, and manage change. • Integrate commercial, strategic, and operational perspectives effectively. • Showcase programme, project, capital projects, and contract management skills.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, flexible, and possesses excellent communication skills to engage with clients at all levels. They should have a strong background in business case preparation, estate strategy, financial analysis, and data handling, complemented by strong interpersonal, persuasive and programme management abilities. • Hold a relevant real estate qualification or comparable experience. • Experience in both client‑side and consultancy environments. • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence. • Excellent written and verbal communication; confident in managing client relationships. • Financially literate with strong commercial understanding and financial analysis capability. • Persuasive; able to challenge, debate, and influence key decisions. • Competent in handling, analysing, and presenting large data sets to support solutions. • Team player, collaborative, and able to remain calm under pressure. • Flexible to travel as required and work across new sectors or environments. • Relevant professional qualification (bachelor’s degree) and project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, MSP). • Proven business case writing skills and knowledge of the HM Treasury 5‑case model. • Experience collaborating and managing change across multidisciplinary teams. • Strong project planning, organisational abilities, and capacity to meet deadlines under pressure. • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload with minimal supervision. • Understanding of good practice data management procedures. • Desirable: industry qualifications in surveying, engineering, finance, or accounting. • Desirable: continuing professional development and Better Business Case accreditation. • Desirable: experience with strategic infrastructure programmes in large/complex organisations. • Desirable: project management experience in health or social care services. • Desirable: ability to lead and develop business cases for major capital investments. • Desirable: initiative, resilience, and proficiency with Excel and Power BI for evidence‑based analysis.
