About the Role
The Maintenance Mechanic role involves repairing, installing, rebuilding, and maintaining mechanical equipment across a diverse manufacturing operation. You will assist other trades, complete preventative and corrective work orders, order materials, and support the engineering department as needed. Key duties include inspecting defective equipment, diagnosing malfunctions, overhauling engines, compressors, pumps, generators, and hydraulic systems, and rebuilding vacuum equipment, blowers, and heat exchangers. You will also machine new parts, install mechanical seals, perform preventive maintenance on air dryers, adjust brakes, align wheels, and contribute to equipment design and modifications. Environmental, health, and safety obligations include complying with safety rules, attending training, reporting accidents, using lock‑out/tag‑out procedures after six months, and managing hazardous waste and chemical spills. You are expected to coach others on safe practices and follow emergency response protocols. • Repair, install, rebuild, and maintain mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment. • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including inspections and overhauls of engines, compressors, pumps, generators, and HVAC components. • Disassemble and reassemble equipment using hand and power tools, hoists, and machining equipment to produce new parts as needed. • Order replacement parts, track serial numbers, and update maintenance records. • Assist other trades, support engineering, and contribute to equipment design modifications. • Comply with all environmental, health, and safety policies, attend training, report incidents, and use lock‑out/tag‑out procedures.

What You Bring
Applicants must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferably have 3‑5 years of industrial mechanic experience.
