About the Role
The role involves leading best‑practice estimating, collaborating with directors on new business bids, managing and mentoring staff, and acting as the primary interface with clients and consultants throughout project stages. • Estimate Production (from order‑of‑magnitude to detailed first‑principles estimates) • Estimating Assurance • Estimating support for major programme set‑up • Estimating data provision • Lead and manage accurate estimate and cost‑plan production • Promote estimating best practices across the firm • Achieve departmental objectives and stay current in technical expertise • Collaborate with Directors to prepare bids for new work • Provide direction and mentorship to assigned staff • Serve as role model for less‑experienced team members • Interface with clients and consultants at all project stages • Drive new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients • Identify and act on cross‑selling opportunities • Oversee staff management where applicable • Manage knowledge‑sharing and knowledge management activities

What You Bring
• Proven experience in estimating management • Qualified in estimating or quantity surveying with relevant experience • Proficiency with estimating software packages • Membership of RICS, CIOB or A. Cost E. (desirable) • Experience on major programmes and infrastructure projects (rail, air, power, highways) • Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams
