About the Role
The successful candidate will lead a Civil Works team, building and managing relationships with key Federal clients such as the USACE, NAVFAC, DHS and the Coast Guard. Leadership duties include managing and delivering large USACE Civil Works projects, including water‑resource and flood‑mitigation programs, while operating with integrity and sound business principles. The role also involves providing vision, business planning, strategy, setting goals, and maintaining positive client communication. Project Managers and Practice Builders are expected to manage projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, mentor team members, and act as positive leaders. The individual will have considerable autonomy to lead, direct, and grow the business, with the potential for a substantial bonus program and advancement to ownership. • Lead Civil Works teams and manage large USACE projects, including water‑resource and flood‑mitigation programs. • Build and maintain relationships with Federal clients (Army Corps, NAVFAC, DHS, Coast Guard, National Guard). • Provide vision, business planning, strategy, and set organizational goals. • Mentor staff, transition work to qualified personnel, and ensure profitable project delivery.

What You Bring
Applicants must have 12+ years of experience managing Federal Civil Works projects and hold a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. Preferred discipline expertise includes structural, mechanical, or civil engineering, along with strong AutoCAD Civil3D skills. Candidates should possess extensive contacts with Federal agencies, proven business development abilities, and a track record of profitable project delivery and staff mentorship. • 12+ years of Federal Civil Works experience and a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. • Expertise in structural, mechanical, or civil engineering and strong AutoCAD Civil3D skills. • Proven business development, proposal writing, and budgeting capabilities. • Strong communication and positive leadership at all organization levels.
