About the Role
The Operations Lead directs waste handling activities for a shift, project, or crew, overseeing sampling, analysis, processing, documentation, and disposition of materials received or shipped. The role ensures plant and personnel safety by enforcing procedures and providing required training. Key duties include assisting supervisors in coordinating operations staff, managing inventory compliance, and maintaining supplies. The lead coordinates with vendors, transporters, and treatment facilities, and maintains housekeeping of waste handling areas and proper storage of process chemicals. The lead directs off‑loading of materials, conducts collection and analysis of inbound waste samples, and simulates treatment to make decisions aligned with waste profiles and permits. Responsibilities also cover batch clearance approvals, post‑treatment sampling, notifying maintenance needs, and reviewing and signing RCRA manifests. All personnel must follow safety rules; the Operations Lead trains staff on processing procedures, provides performance feedback to leaders, and may substitute for workers to relieve bottlenecks. Participation in emergency response for on‑ and off‑site incidents involving facility equipment and transportation is required.

What You Bring
Preferred qualifications include knowledge of personnel management, operations, equipment, waste processing, recycling techniques, receiving, purchasing, work orders, special licenses, and DOT training, with strong accuracy and attention to detail. Minimum requirements are at least two years of related experience; a valid driver’s license or special license such as a CDL may be required.

The position offers a pay range of $29.30 to $40.32, adjusted for locality, and eligibility for a bonus plan and comprehensive benefits.
