About the Role
The LOA Payroll Processor role supports the bi‑weekly payroll cycle for Lennar’s Labor Operations and Assistance (LOA) organization. This position handles payroll processing, accounting controls, and reporting while assisting with special projects and resolving payroll inquiries. It also serves as a liaison between payroll and LOA stakeholders. Core duties include gathering pay‑period data, validating timecards, calculating retroactive pay, and processing leave‑of‑absence payments. The processor also manages tax withholding elections, prepares manual checks, and ensures accurate benefits accruals. Backup support for other payroll staff and participation in system conversions are also expected. • Gather and process all pay‑period data. • Validate timecards and make necessary adjustments in the Time and Labor system. • Review payroll reports and calculate retroactive payments. • Act as liaison between Payroll and LOA representatives. • Compute accurate hours for new hires, terminations, and rehires. • Enter and verify federal, state, and local tax withholding elections. • Process leave‑of‑absence payments and prepare manual checks for missing time or additional earnings. • Request stop payments, voids, and reversals as needed. • Apply accrual calculations and enforce payroll/HR policies. • Research and resolve payroll issues raised by associates. • Provide backup support for other payroll processors during absences or backlogs. • Assist with system conversions, testing, and data verification.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold at least a high‑school diploma and possess three to five years of payroll processing experience, preferably with a Certified Payroll Professional credential. Proficiency in Workday, knowledge of federal, state and local payroll regulations, and strong computer skills in Word, Excel, and Access are required. The role demands confidentiality, excellent communication, high attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. The position is primarily sedentary but requires the ability to operate computer equipment, lift up to 25 lb, and perform basic physical movements such as bending and reaching. Finger dexterity is essential for handling payroll documentation. • High‑school diploma or equivalent. • 3–5 years of payroll processing experience; CPP certification preferred. • Experience using Workday for payroll functions. • Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations. • Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on confidentiality. • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. • Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to learn quickly. • Effective verbal and written communication; adaptable to change. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
