About the Role

• Operate and monitor stationary equipment. • Record temperature, pressure, water levels, and fuel consumption in logbooks. • Read meters and gauges at scheduled intervals. • Conduct routine inspections, including oiling and lubricating equipment, tightening fittings, and replacing gaskets, valves, and gauges. • Assist with furnace and boiler maintenance and repair. • Perform water titration testing and add prescribed chemicals such as water softeners. • Clean and maintain fire and water sides of fuel‑burning equipment, pumps, screens, pipes, and gratings. • Remove ashes and clinkers. • Switch to backup equipment when necessary and shut down equipment as directed. • Report unsafe conditions.
