Leasing Manager

About the Role

Reporting to senior leadership, the Leasing Manager will autonomously manage property transaction activities across retail, office and industrial portfolios for BGIS and its clients. The role includes lease negotiations, renewals, variations, make-good, acquisitions, disposals and related documentation, as well as business development of transaction services. Key responsibilities involve providing strategic advice to optimise portfolios, delivering end-to-end leasing transactions, preparing Heads of Agreement, conducting site inspections and financial analysis, and maintaining governance-compliant transaction data and reporting. • Provide strategic advice to optimise real estate portfolios. • Manage end-to-end leasing transactions, including acquisitions, renewals, variations, terminations, make‑good, and disposals, to achieve favorable commercial outcomes. • Prepare Heads of Agreement and collaborate with legal counsel to finalise lease documentation. • Conduct site inspections, perform financial analysis, and deliver clear stakeholder reports. • Maintain accurate transaction data, approvals, and governance‑compliant reporting. • Build trusted long‑term relationships through clear communication and regular portfolio updates. • Identify opportunities to reduce occupancy costs while maintaining performance and compliance.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in a property or corporate real estate environment, strong communication and relationship-building skills, a Real Estate Licence or Agent’s Representative, and a keen attention to detail. Desirable qualifications include advanced knowledge of commercial leasing strategy, market analysis and a tertiary degree in Property, Commerce, Business or a related discipline. The position is based in Melbourne CBD with occasional inter-state travel and ad-hoc site visits; after probation the hybrid schedule of two days WFH and three days in the office or at client sites applies.
