About the Role
You will join Southern Water’s Wastewater Treatment Team, maintaining and repairing treatment works, sludge centres, and pumping stations while ensuring compliance with environmental, quality, and safety standards and supporting continuous improvement. • Perform reactive and planned maintenance on wastewater treatment works, sludge centres, and pumping stations. • Install new plant and equipment as required. • Respond to alarms, diagnose faults and repair or escalate issues. • Inspect and test electrical equipment following company procedures. • Provide technical expertise to internal and external contractors. • Keep company systems and databases updated accurately and promptly. • Participate in a 1‑in‑6 standby rota for out‑of‑hours support.

What You Bring
The Process Technician – Electrician role is based in the Kent region, requires travel across multiple sites and a full UK driving licence. It is a permanent, full‑time position (38 hours per week) with a salary band from £36,954 to £44,344 depending on experience. • Hold a Level 3 NVQ Electrical qualification and a full UK driving licence. • Demonstrate problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure. • Desirable: experience in the water industry, knowledge of pumping station operation and health & safety legislation.
