About the Role
• Execute commissioning and service actions directed by the Director of Services. • Monitor and enforce compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and best practices. • Report field service risks to the Director and relevant stakeholders. • Maintain and update work orders in the CMMS to align with current project status. • Supervise and coordinate contractors, vendors, and ON.energy resources during projects. • Perform planned and unplanned maintenance activities. • Coordinate with energy dispatch to schedule performance testing and outage planning. • Document lessons learned and identify opportunities to improve efficiency. • Travel to job sites to investigate, resolve, or supervise resolution of issues.

What You Bring
The Field Service Technician role is based in Houston, TX, with consideration for West Texas, and requires extensive travel (90%+) to project sites, ON.energy offices, or vendor locations across Texas. Reporting to the Director of Services, the technician will support commissioning and service activities, bring a can‑do attitude, and work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. • Hold a BS in Engineering or equivalent military technical experience. • Possess 2–5 years of mechanical or electrical system commissioning or service experience. • Ability to travel more than 90% across Texas, with next‑day availability by car or plane. • Knowledge of electrical power, networking, communication, and SCADA systems. • Capable of occasionally lifting 25–50 lb. • Maintain a valid driver’s license and fluency in English. • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. • Exhibit strong communication skills, professionalism, and teamwork. • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial setting. • Willingness to obtain and maintain NFPA 70E, OSHA 10 (or higher), and CPR certifications. • Preference for Houston location; West Texas considered with possible relocation assistance.
