About the Role
The primary function is to achieve market acceptability of Eaton's electrical products, providing technical leadership and mentoring to sales engineers, OEMs, and outside rep agencies. Responsibilities include leading design, development, and validation of product and service applications, staying familiar with competitive offerings, and positioning Eaton solutions effectively. The engineer will also provide efficient pre‑sale application and technical support, manage communications, convey product value, review product literature, give feedback to marketing and engineering, serve on improvement teams, and train Technical Support Engineers. Customer engagement involves calling on electrical engineers at consulting firms across the assigned territory to assist with technical design and promote Eaton products. The engineer will support major projects with submittals, drawings, and coordination with customers and consultants, work with institutional end users to gain acceptance, conduct product seminars and training for end users, consultants, and sales engineers, and assist customers with design‑build opportunities. • Provide pre‑sale application and technical support, analyzing customer needs and recommending solutions • Lead design, development, and validation of Eaton product and service applications • Mentor sales engineers, OEMs, and external representatives on technical matters • Review and give feedback on product literature, marketing, and engineering documentation • Serve on cross‑functional teams to improve processes, productivity, and customer satisfaction • Conduct product seminars and training for end users, consultants, and sales engineers • Support major projects with submittals, drawings, and coordination with customers and consultants • Write technical specifications and assist in layout/design of control and monitoring systems

What You Bring
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, a minimum of seven years of electrical sales or engineering experience, and a valid unrestricted driver's license. Preferred qualifications are a bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, a Professional Engineer (PE) license, and knowledge of Eaton products, services, and competitors. Essential skills encompass writing technical specifications, assisting with layout and design of control and monitoring systems, leading teams, value selling, presentation and training abilities, and proficiency with power distribution, quality, monitoring, and control products. Travel up to 25% is required. • Travel up to 25% within the assigned sales territory and maintain a valid driver’s license • Hold a bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of electrical sales or engineering experience (PE license preferred) • Demonstrate value‑selling, presentation, and product knowledge of power distribution, quality, monitoring, and control solutions

Benefits
The target total compensation ranges from $143,750 to $210,000, combining base salary and sales performance incentives.
