About the Role

In this position you will collaborate closely with project coordinators, managers, senior directors, and field technicians, contributing to health and safety and emergency response planning for field programs. You will mentor junior staff in environmental practices such as Phase I/II ESAs, drilling, surveying, groundwater sampling, and remediation oversight. Data collection will be synthesized into comprehensive reports that include conclusions and recommendations, while you also support the broader RPM team in project management and client service duties. Fieldwork occurs in remote locations during two seasonal programs, following a rotating schedule of roughly two weeks on‑site and two weeks off. • Develop health and safety and emergency response plans for field programs. • Mentor junior staff on Phase I/II ESAs, drilling, surveying, groundwater sampling, and remediation oversight. • Compile field data and author comprehensive reports with conclusions and recommendations. • Participate in two seasonal remote field programs, working on a rotating two‑week on/ two‑week off schedule. • Collaborate with project coordinators, managers, senior directors, and field technicians to ensure project success.

What You Bring

WSP is seeking an engineer or environmental scientist with 4‑6 years of experience to join the RPM team, which operates in offices across the country. The role will involve planning and preparing two annual field programs, participating in those programs, and producing detailed post‑field reports. Candidates will benefit from career progression, access to extensive technical expertise, dedicated mentorship, and participation in employee resource groups within a large, supportive organization. The ideal candidate holds a university degree or diploma in engineering or natural/earth sciences and has at least four years of field experience assessing contaminated sites. Experience in remote or territorial locations is highly valued, as is a strong safety‑conscious attitude and the ability to troubleshoot environmental data collection to meet project goals. A professional designation or being a professional‑in‑training is preferred, reflecting a commitment to ongoing professional development. • Possess a degree in engineering or natural/earth sciences and 4‑6 years of contaminated‑site field experience. • Demonstrate experience working in remote or territorial locations and maintain a strong safety‑conscious attitude. • Hold a professional designation or be in professional‑in‑training status (preferred).
